Using Pressurex-micro® allows you to economically and easily find the relative pressure between two contact or impact surfaces. Since Pressurex® is a thin (20 mil) pressure indicating sensor film, it easily conforms to curved surfaces. You can even use Pressurex® film in harsh environments and tight spaces where traditional electronic sensors cannot.
All you need to do is place the Pressurex® film between the two contact or impact surfaces. After removal, the generated image will show the relative amount of pressure applied as a grayscale pressure distribution curve. The greater the pressure, the darker the color. Pressurex is suitable for use under any load less than 20 PSI (1.5 kg/cm²).
When used in conjunction with our Topaq® imaging system, Pressurex® pressure film makes it easier to analyze and interpret images. The grayscale pressure distribution curve can be presented as a clear, easy-to-read image in seconds. These images are high-resolution, full-color representations of pressure distribution, accompanied by charts and data. This is the simplest and most effective way to determine the pressure distribution between mating surfaces.
