Pundit is an intelligent CMM detection simulation software, mainly used to reduce CMM measurement uncertainty, optimize measurement plans, and improve control over the measurement process. The specific functions are as follows:
1) Reliable measurement uncertainty assessment: Calculate the measurement uncertainty for specified CMM measurement tasks.
2) Predictive analysis: Identify potential issues before actual measurement and before finalizing product design.

The Pundit software provides a virtual platform with built-in CMM simulation models, importing the model of the measurement object, which is based on MBD CAD models, using the built-in CMM simulation model to simulate the inspection of the imported CAD model. Through this simulation inspection, estimate the uncertainty of specified CMM measurement tasks, identify gaps in the original inspection plan, quickly formulate reliable measurement schemes, and optimize the original measurement plan. The Pundit software operates as follows:
1) Advanced uncertainty modeling based on MBD: Model the part geometry (CAD), PMI/GD&T, sampling patterns, manufacturing signatures, and measurement systems to determine measurement uncertainty.
2) Capture repeatability and bias: Use CAD models (MBD) to assess measurement bias and measurement variability. It is not just gauge R&R. No need to integrate with other CMM software.
3) Virtual measurement components: Do not rely on any physical devices and components. In a virtual environment, simulate the inspection process and provide quick insights before cutting metal.
4) Optimize your CMM programs: Try different measurement strategies in a virtual environment to reduce measurement uncertainty. Predict measurement uncertainty for various CMM and probe configurations. Identify defects in the GD&T assigned to parts.
