SPI-Tactilus Foot Pressure Testing System - Real-time Contact Surface Pressure Analysis

Tactilus ® allows users to capture and record the pressure conditions occurring between any two contact or impact surfaces in real time. The Tactilus ® sensor, as thin as paper, is actually placed on the contact interface to record and absorb pressure distribution and magnitude on a Windows ®-based computer.
The exciting advancements in conductive textiles enable us to develop sensors that fit your surfaces better than ever before. This sensor not only conforms better to curved surfaces but also mitigates the shear effects caused by the movement of the contact surface through stretching—an innovation that other sensor companies cannot match! With biomimetic human skin, we have elevated surface contact pressure measurement to a whole new level.
Tactilus ® now securely encapsulates all electronic components within the sensor element itself. The Tactilus ® sensor consists of a series of interwoven wires, forming a matrix with up to 16,384 unique sensing points. The communication speed between the Tactilus ® Windows ® software and the sensor can theoretically reach 1,000 frames per second—fast enough to measure impact forces. For users wishing to connect directly with their control software, Tactilus ® sensor products can provide an API.
